Technical Draftsman
Join our engineering team as a Technical Draftsman, producing accurate technical drawings, door schedules, and design documentation while collaborating with clients and sales teams to deliver tailored door and hardware solutions.
About the Role
SALCO is looking for a detail-oriented Technical Draftsman to support our Engineering team by preparing accurate technical drawings and documentation for door and hardware systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients, sales engineers, and internal teams to develop customized drawing packages that meet project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate technical drawings for door and hardware systems based on project requirements.
- Interpret technical specifications and convert concepts into detailed engineering drawings.
- Prepare and maintain door schedules and supporting project documentation.
- Coordinate with clients and the Sales team to review technical requirements and design details.
- Customize standard drawing templates to suit project-specific dimensions and specifications.
- Provide updated drawings to support accurate quotations and project execution.
- Present design recommendations and technical solutions during client meetings when required.
- Maintain organized drawing records and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Support the Engineering team with additional drafting and documentation tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Technical Diploma in CAD, Drafting, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of drafting experience in a similar technical environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills in English.
